Autumn’s Influence. Digital art created on canvas. September 29, 2024. Afrika Abney “According to my research, autumn’s influence is derived from a variety of environmental factors such as the transformation of leaves on trees into shades of yellow, orange, red, and brown during the autumn season. As daylight hours decrease and temperatures begin to drop, trees respond to these changes by slowing down their production of chlorophyll, the green pigment responsible for photosynthesis. This reduction in chlorophyll allows other pigments present in the leaves, such as carotenoids and anthocyanins, to become more visible, resulting in the vibrant colors associated with fall foliage.”
