"Woodrow Nash crafts hauntingly empty-eyed sculptural busts that combine the slender proportions of 15th century Benin art and an 18th century Art Nouveau aesthetic to create a style that Nash describes as “African Nouveau.” Nash’s fired ceramic busts are dressed in extravagant costuming and jewelry and painted with beguiling patterns and iconography that ranges from stripes and interlocking geometric schematics to pared-down human silhouettes. His subjects are adorned in luxurious beaded capes, seashell necklaces, and highly figured headwraps; their textured “raku” skins come from Nash’s unique electronic firing method. Afrika Abney  Today is October 10, 2024 and I have no idea what discussions you are having because I am busy focusing on my branding, digital art and my services. The purpose of sharing my digital art that I have created has nothing to do with relationships nor friendships. It has to do with the experiences, symbolism behind the colors and the principles related to creating my digital art.  According to my research, “ deep dark red represents determination, warmth and depth, while crimson and red symbolizes courage and creativity.”

The concept of form

Quote found on the Internet  “In the field of painting, the concept of form is a crucial component that delineates the tangible attributes of the subjects represented on the canvas. It involves the strategic organization and interplay of various shapes, lines, and colors, which collectively contribute to the formation of a unified visual story. Artistry Oil Pastels

Artistry Oil Pastels are crafted through advanced digital software, offering a modern twist on a classic artistic medium. Oil pastels are a unique medium that combines the qualities of traditional pastels with the richness of oil-based pigments. The texture of oil pastels is distinct, providing a creamy consistency that allows for easy blending and layering. This characteristic makes them particularly appealing for creating soft transitions in color and intricate details in artwork.

Life in Black and White through the lens of the artist

Life in Black and White through the lens of the artist captures abstract paintings using black and white paint on paper to resemble how society, community and world divides human beings based on race and excludes them from activities. If we want racism and discrimination to end, we must stop segregating and racial inequity. I have created several paintings using only black and white colors to express how I have been impacted by racial profiling. When I mix both colors together, they make the color gray.  "Black isn't a primary, secondary, or tertiary color. In fact, black isn't on the color wheel because it isn't considered a color. It's all colors. Or rather, the absorption of all colors. Black absorbs all light in the color spectrum." "White is clean, simple, and pure.
