Throughout my artistic journey, I have consistently incorporated various elements of art into my abstract creations. My experience spans both traditional mediums, such as canvas and paper, as well as contemporary digital formats. In recent times, I have focused on producing a significant number of abstract digital paintings, utilizing the versatility of digital tools to enhance my artistic expression.


The evolution of my work has also involved the logistics of art transportation, which has been a crucial aspect of sharing my creations with a broader audience. I have explored innovative ways to present my art, particularly through the use of digital landscapes that allow for a more dynamic and engaging experience. This transition to digital platforms has not only expanded my reach but has also transformed the way I conceptualize and execute my artistic vision.


As I continue to navigate the intersection of traditional and digital art, I find that each medium offers unique opportunities for exploration and creativity. The ability to create and share my abstract works in a digital format has opened new avenues for artistic expression, enabling me to experiment with color, form, and composition in ways that were previously unattainable. This ongoing journey reflects my commitment to evolving as an artist while embracing the advancements in technology that enhance the art-making process.

James A. Porter

"James Amos Porter was the first African American art historian. Born on December 22, 1905 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Lydia and John Porter, a prominent minister in the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church. Porter graduated  cum laude  in 1927 with a Bachelor of Science in art from Howard University. After graduating, he became an instructor of drawing and painting at Howard, teaching for 40 years, during which he was described as a gifted and influential teacher. Porter continued his education at the Art Student League in New York City, New York under Dimitri Romanovsky. Later, he met research librarian Dorothy Burnett in Harlem and married her on December 27, 1929. They had one daughter, Constance Porter.
