The atmosphere was heavily influenced by the presence of dark and foreboding clouds, which inspired me to craft an abstract digital painting. In this artwork, I employed a palette dominated by silver, light gray, and white hues, allowing the interplay of these colors to evoke a sense of depth and emotion. The choice of these shades was intentional, as they reflect the somber yet intriguing nature of the sky above, creating a visual narrative that resonates with the viewer.

Drawing inspiration from the ominous clouds that loomed overhead, I embarked on the creation of an abstract digital painting. The color scheme I selected features a harmonious blend of silver, light gray, and white, each shade contributing to the overall mood of the piece. My journey into the world of drawing commenced in my early childhood, and it has since evolved into a profound passion for visual arts. Over the years, I have sought formal education when I was enrolled into various art institutions, where I honed my skills and explored different artistic techniques. While I primarily gravitate towards an abstract drawing style, I have also ventured into portraiture, capturing the essence of individuals through my art. DISCOVERY SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED

On December 9, 2023 three young ladies from the Washington Metropolitan Region were chosen by a team of prestigious judges as recipients of the prestigious Discovering Me Scholarship Award presented by Esther Productions Inc. in partnership with The Black Student Fund. The winners were selected based on the quality of their essays that told of the challenges they have faced related to growing up without the presence and active involvement of their fathers in their lives. The young essay writers also discussed how they have come to build resilience and to appreciate their own value and independence. Kenya Thomas received the top prize of $1500.00 for her heartfelt essay. The newly established $500 President's Award also was later given to Simaya Hammond. Prelli Williams

"Prelli Anthony Williams is a Washington, DC native and product of the DC public school system. As soon as he could hold a pencil, at the age of three (his family says) he drew on any blank surfaces, brown paper grocery bags, on back of Polaroid photos, books and walls. After graduating from Eastern High School (Washington, DC) in 1975, Prelli relocated to New York City to attend the School of Visual Arts. Despite financial hardships and struggles of many Black males during that period, Williams managed to stay employed, raise a family and complete college Nine years later, receiving his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1984 with a Major in Advertising and a Minor in Graphic Design.
