Why is branding important for an artist?

Flyer created and designed by Ms. Afrika Abney

"Coordinating creative outputs, marketing materials, and specific messaging shapes a personal identity. One that helps artists differentiate themselves from several others competing for the same attention and even the same genre. Strong, consistent branding creates a unique perception to audiences.

As an artist, your brand essence is a blend of your artwork, your attitude, your story and your goals. "

Viewpoint Canvas

Viewpoint Canvas. Digital art created on canvas. August 22, 2024. Afrika Abney Quote found on the Internet ““Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.” You can take this seemingly simple phrase in many ways. I take it to mean that art opens our eyes to something a fellow human being saw in the subject that they thought beautiful, amazing, or otherwise worthy of expression.” – Degas “Delving into the wisdom of celebrated quotes within the visual arts can serve as a catalyst for a more profound grasp of the discipline and its societal ramifications. Such quotations frequently distill complex ideas and emotions into succinct phrases, allowing for a more accessible entry point into the broader discussions surrounding art. This engagement can illuminate the ways in which visual arts engage with contemporary issues, provoke thought, and inspire change, thereby reinforcing their relevance in today's world.”

Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in conventional environments as a professional visual artist and art consultant.
