What art people are buying

I googled to find out what art people were buying and I got "The most popular art subjects have generic themes and include traditional landscape painting, local scenery, and local landmarks. Seascapes do well, as do animals and figurative work. Art buyers like paintings with a background and composed with a distinct focal point."

If that is the case, I have created many abstract landscape paintings. "Landscape Painting depicts the scenery of the natural world with the views that impact the artists eye. In an effort to represent the beauty that meets the eye, the artist tries to capture that fleeting moment in time and space, for all time, thus becoming a co-creator with the original Creator. A landscape painting or drawing refers to an artwork whose primary focus is natural scenery, such as mountains, forests, cliffs, trees, rivers, valleys, etc.

Landscape art is typically described by what appears in the foreground, middle ground, and background. Consider what objects you can see in the foreground, middle ground, and background of the landscape. In many landscapes, understanding how the artist depicts space is important to visually appreciating the work."

The below painting entitled Landscape was created in 2005.

Colorful Symbolism

Colorful Symbolism. Digital art created on canvas. October 9, 2024. Afrika Abney  Today is October 10, 2024 and I have no idea what discussions you are having because I am busy focusing on my branding, digital art and my services. The purpose of sharing my digital art that I have created has nothing to do with relationships nor friendships. It has to do with the experiences, symbolism behind the colors and the principles related to creating my digital art.  According to my research, “ deep dark red represents determination, warmth and depth, while crimson and red symbolizes courage and creativity.”

Artistry Oil Pastels

Artistry Oil Pastels are crafted through advanced digital software, offering a modern twist on a classic artistic medium. Oil pastels are a unique medium that combines the qualities of traditional pastels with the richness of oil-based pigments. The texture of oil pastels is distinct, providing a creamy consistency that allows for easy blending and layering. This characteristic makes them particularly appealing for creating soft transitions in color and intricate details in artwork.

Life in Black and White through the lens of the artist

Life in Black and White through the lens of the artist captures abstract paintings using black and white paint on paper to resemble how society, community and world divides human beings based on race and excludes them from activities. If we want racism and discrimination to end, we must stop segregating and racial inequity. I have created several paintings using only black and white colors to express how I have been impacted by racial profiling. When I mix both colors together, they make the color gray.  "Black isn't a primary, secondary, or tertiary color. In fact, black isn't on the color wheel because it isn't considered a color. It's all colors. Or rather, the absorption of all colors. Black absorbs all light in the color spectrum." "White is clean, simple, and pure. It stands in stark opposition to black, and its meanings are unequivocal. As white light contains all the colors of the spectrum, it’s an inclusive, impartial color, favoring no single ...

PresentPath

PresentPath. Digital art created on canvas. September 4, 2024. Afrika Abney “The power for creating a better future is contained in the present moment: You create a good future by creating a good present.” - Eckhart Tolle “ Tolle advocates for the idea that our thoughts and actions in the present are crucial in determining the trajectory of our future. By concentrating on the present, we can create a solid foundation that aligns with our goals and desires. This perspective encourages individuals to engage in activities that are not only fulfilling but also resonate with their core values, thereby ensuring that the future we envision is a natural extension of our current efforts and mindset.”

The concept of form

Quote found on the Internet  “In the field of painting, the concept of form is a crucial component that delineates the tangible attributes of the subjects represented on the canvas. It involves the strategic organization and interplay of various shapes, lines, and colors, which collectively contribute to the formation of a unified visual story. This intricate relationship between these elements not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also guides the viewer's understanding of the artwork's intended message.”
