Complexity of geometric shapes

On July 30, 2024,I created three mixed media collages that incorporate intricate geometric triangular shapes and patterns to evoke a sense of depth and dimension while applying several skills which include layering textures, colors, and shapes to create unique and eye-catching compositions. My ability to blend different mediums seamlessly allows me to bring my artistic vision to life in a dynamic and engaging way. I believe that art has the power to inspire, evoke emotions, and spark creativity in others.

Through my geometric collages, I aim to bring joy and inspiration to viewers while showcasing the beauty and complexity of geometric shapes.

The triangle is the strongest as it holds its shape and has a base which is very strong and also has a strong support. The triangle is common in all sorts of building supports and trusses. The overall shape of many bridges is in the shape of a catenary curve. Triangles help you create much more dynamic compositions. After all, because of the energy triangles create, they are a great way to compose images that fit lively situations. Triangles can also help you compose more energetic images from quiet scenes, ones that could easily look dull otherwise.”

I chose brown ochre to represent the color of my skin. White and black to represent the racism and discrimination that I began to experience in the 1990s and continued beyond the 1990s.
