Branding Initiative Palette

Branding Initiative Palette. Digital art created on canvas. September 29, 2024. Afrika Abney

In 2021, I developed a branding initiative that reflects my expertise as a professional visual artist and art consultant. “Furthermore, this initiative aims to create a cohesive image that resonates with both the artistic community and potential clients. By emphasizing unique artistic styles and consulting expertise, the initiative seeks to differentiate these professionals in a competitive market.

By creating engaging content that showcases my work and expertise, the branding effort will not only build a loyal following but also facilitate networking opportunities within the art community. This multifaceted approach aims to establish a lasting presence in the art world, ultimately leading to increased visibility, credibility, and business growth for the professionals involved.”

Golden Ember

“Golden Ember is characterized by its rich, dark yellow hue, a color that resonates with the flickering essence of fire. This particular shade evokes the mesmerizing glow of smoldering embers, those glowing remnants that symbolize warmth and illumination. The depth of this tone not only captures the eye but also stirs the imagination, inviting one to reflect on the stories and memories associated with the comforting light of a fire. What distinguishes this deep yellow from its brighter counterparts is its sophisticated and grounded quality. It embodies the spirit of the changing seasons, especially the transition into autumn, when nature adorns itself in a stunning array of warm colors. The richness of dark yellow serves as a reminder of the beauty found in this seasonal shift, where the landscape transforms into a vibrant tapestry. Furthermore, the allure of this shade can evoke images of a sunset, where the sun gracefully descends beyond the horizon, casting a warm, golden glow...

Forward-looking approach

I kindly request that you refrain from repeatedly inquiring about the events of 1993. At that time, I was merely 16 years old, and the context of those years may not hold the same significance for me as it does for you. As we are now in the year 2024, it is important to focus on the present and the future rather than dwelling on the past. ART CURATOR. New Harlem Gallery, New York City. 1992 - 1993. Installed art for some of the exhibitions held at the New Harlem Gallery. Curated and installed diverse exhibitions, significantly enhancing visitor engagement. Organized art installations, promoting new artists and increasing gallery attendance. Planned exhibitions with attention to detail, creating compelling narratives. Summer Sunsets

" Research shows that sunsets have many psychological effects that  enhance the long-lasting satisfaction of in life and physical benefits and have been proven to relieve stress.  Things that can enhance the colors of the sunset include smoke particles, dust, smog, and basically any increased number of tiny aerosols in the upper levels of the atmosphere. This enhances the scattering effect and allows for more yellow, orange, and red to reach out eyes leading to better sunsets.  And if you want to do a sunset, use warm and dark saturated colors, like  red, orange, magenta and purple." “Sunset shows that life is too beautiful to hold on to the past, so move on to the present.” - Author Unknown Summer Sunsets. It is an abstract finger painting created on canvas using acrylic paint.  Summer Sunsets. August 2, 2022. 14 *18. Acrylic on canvas. Afrika Abney. $100

InteractPoint

InteractPoint. Digital art created on canvas. September 14, 2024. Afrika Abney “Research indicates that yellow is the color most commonly linked to communication. This association stems from the psychological effects that colors have on human perception and behavior. Yellow is often perceived as a bright and cheerful hue, which can evoke feelings of warmth and positivity. The dynamics of communication within the realm of professional visual artists and art consultants are pivotal in determining who receives attention and recognition in the art world. This interaction is influenced by various factors, including the artist's ability to articulate their vision, the consultant's expertise in navigating the art market, and the overall context in which the artwork is presented. Effective communication not only involves the exchange of ideas but also encompasses the strategies employed to ensure that the artist's work resonates with potential audiences, collectors, and critics a...

Celebrate Black History Month

For many years, I have celebrated Black History Month in many ways. Some of them include creating digital art that reflects my roots, culture, and heritage as a black woman, and acknowledging some black people that I know which I mentioned in some of my blog posts. I do not celebrate Black History Month in February; I celebrate it everyday.                                                 Blackness. Digital art piece created on canvas.
